I've recently fitted a 70cc kit to my Jog RR and when it had a 50 kit on it, the power would be the same from 0-50, you wouldn't hear the revs drop or anything, now i've fitted a 70cc kit, i've put a 100 jet in an upgraded the airfilter, that runs perfect, but when I accelerate, 0-20mph is almost instant and then the revs drop, and quite quickly build up into top end, what do I need to change to keep the revs the same from 0- top end? I've got a stage6 sport pro variator with 4g rollers, Polini belt and Naraku Sport clutch.

Ile start the ball rolling and see what happens...what 70 kit?standard pipe?carb size, standard? You say a 100 jet runs fine...but it ain't if it ain't picking up.there's one or two good carb brains on here that could help eliminate that as a prob.cant see the rollers being a problem..bloody hell..low weight for off the line screaming..4g should do it..so many things could give them symptoms..slippy over grippy belt.might need s stronger torque spring to keep it low geared till it picks up.clutch adjustment?

Motoforce Sport 70cc, Stage6 Sport Pro Rep exhaust, 12mm carb, the belt is fine, i've got two belts and they both run pretty Mich the same, but I find the standard belt to run better, I also have a Polini belt, and the torque spring has been upgraded to a stronger one already, can't remember the weight, its one that comes with the stage6 sport pro variator.

12 mm carb..sure that's a number reversal,Ile assume 21 mm.if not ,sort the carb size.have you tried it without the torque spring.have a look at the needle, try it up or down a few notches.that pipe is a bit top end power loving, not good till its got a bit of revs to play with.if your any where near a dyno have a session..bout £20 for a run up and advise.

I'm having pretty much the same issues but as I bought the Drag with the 70 kit already on I'm not sure what rollers I have etc. Mine has the 12mm carb as well.

I think its the 12mm carb not keeping up with the power

You could try riching up the middle by raising the needle and lightening the rollers a bit. But yeah- a 21 mm carb, or at least a 17.5 is a good idea - and for lots of reasons. Get the jets for it and be prepared to increase as much as 20 points. Jetting is really the crux of any set up. If you have lots, you can get it right.

Do you ditch the standard air box then.
