Hi guys I am new and am slowly doing up my Jog when I can afford the parts. I have just fitted a racing crankshaft and a Polini 70cc kit with a RAM AIR filter. The work took me 2 days and I am happier should we say with the results. It used to do 35 MPH and that was it. Now it does just under 40 MPH which is better I know but people claim they do 50 MPH standard. It has also got 5G rollers. It does have standard exhaust not Yamaha tho. It had a little pipe inside the pipe in the end and I hit it with a hammer and it just fell straight out. So I cant see it being the exhaust that is causing the problem. It is a Jog R but with an RR engine just so you know. Hope you can help guys starting to think mabe just scrapping it so I dont have to deal with it anymore o_O

Exhaust will be restricting it. You fitted lighter rollers bigger jet tighter clutch springs ?

Yeah I have upjetted my carb to 94 and it is a standard 17.5mm carb I have not upgraded any springs or the clutch or anything.

My zip polini filter polini 70cc and tt exhaust uses 118 jet, medium springs,6.1 rollers if that helps at all. I know it has to be lighter for jogs though.

How do I know when I have the right sized jet because it does sound like it is going to die on half throttle but when I open her up she gets to 40mph or just bellow screaming along lol can look quite embarrassing when people look for a ped doing a ton and see this little thing only doing 40mph lol. Thanks guys for all your help

If I put a leo vince TT exhaust a 21mm carb and play with my jets more to get it right do you think I could achieve the 60mph mark ?

Well i'm geting 58mph dyno proven with polini sport and a TT and 17.5mm so i'd say aslong as your gearing allows it. Then yes.
