Jetting? i dont no

    Hi, i dont no if this is jetting or not, but, wen my bike is cold or even warm wen i pull off from traffic lights it goes and splutters and i drop the throttle and throttle off again its ok, this is been going on for ages now and is bugging me. :wtf:
    Anything info would be great

    i thinks its more carb related, because its spluttering.

    clean the carb out for a start, check crank seals and reeds.

    my bike used to do this, then my rings went 2 weeks later, and when replace it hasnt done it since

    well ill clean carb and have a look at the reads nd stuff tomorrow and i'll get back to you's :punk:

    Spluttering will mean you need a BR9ES :)

    Get a new spark plug mate £2.50!

    Will solve problem guaranteed.

    and how certain are you that a Derbi Predator uses a BR9ES?

    they use a B8ES standard. BR9ES is a plug that just runs hotter doesnt it ?

    I put it in my mates derbi.. but his was a BR8ES

    just a resistor, means you wont interfere with people's TVs.

    yeah sounds to me like your plugs fouling too...

    whip the plug out give it a clean and re-gap it...untill you can buy a new one!!

    if you find your engine goes through plugs quickly then your mixture is too lean....what happens is the plug runs hotter causing the gap to enlarge quicker..
    eventually the gap will be too large to spark properly causing misfires and plug fouling!!
