jetting for a fully de restricted yamaha aerox 50

    Just fully derestricted my 05 aerox (variator and std exhaust) and I am planing on fitting a malossi airfilter and was wondering what jetting you would recomend
    any help much appreciated :cool:

    the restrictions are usually two pipes that came off down by the manifold, they don't go anywhere and look like they dont need to be there. You need to cut these off and weld over the holes that will be left. there isnt normally a cone restriction in the standard pipes but always worth checking for one, it would be in the the down pipe straight off from the manifold.

    the box you described is the secondary air system, its used to help 2 strokes pass emission tests as far as i no. There not seen on aftermarket exhausts so i suppose you could remove it if you liked.

    then the bike will need to be upjetted and the rollers would need to be lighter to

    Hi cheers alex for such a fast responce, I wasnt expecting one till tomorrow :) I think il leave that box i described on and remove the second pipe thats be pinched at the end.

    I have just also purchased a mallossi air filter that I will be adding to my bike
    what jetting would you recomend to a bog standard aerox full destricted inc pipe and also what weight rollers

    can any body recomend what jetting to go for when its full de restricted and standard may add a mallossi air filter aswell if iv got one kicking around

    its a forum and there is a person called chris on it with the same bike and asking the exact same questions to do with deretrcition and upjetting lol it must be you

    trial and error matey, i think the standard rox jet is 62 innit?

    just buy some jets close to that mark probably a 5% increase

    if the std jet is 62 5% of that is 3.1 does the jet im looking for 65.1 ish

    cheers for tell me the size so does have i got it right in thinking if i need to go up about 5% with the std jet beeing 64 I will need to buy a 67.2 main jet

    also do you no what make my carb is i beleieve its std or what jet i should go for on this site

    and if you buy say 5 jets, then you can play about..

    I've been told before .. No bike will need same jetting all are different, even if your "mate" has same bike. just have to play around with the jetting

    according to scooter attack, 6mm jets fit 12.5-17.5mm carbs and 22mm carbs

    5mm jets fit any other dellorto carbs or summat along those lines
