Order some jets for my ped (50 to 72) What jet should I need with this set up SR50 70cc Stage6 Streetrace Stage6 Pro Replica 4.5g Stage6 Rollers Malossi Clutch Springs (Yellow) Standard Airbox with restrictor in I am going to take out the restrictor in the front of the airbox, Ive put these yellow clutch springs in as mine were too soft to set off properly now ive got this horrible surging at WOT till about 40 and massive delay in thorttle response. Chucking out wayyyyy too much blue smoke when its cold (buy to much I mean it will last 10 15 mins of riding before it will acclerate witout misfiring and spluttering!! So what jet should I need, the lad at ped parts said a 68 to 72 should be good?
It sounds to me that you need to increase the airflow before you alter the jetting. My aerox when fitted with the stage 6 streetrace was a pig to get running until I removed the snorkel to the airbox. So I would get the airflow sorted first.
My aerox with a 17.5 carb is running an 80 jet which I think is slightly too large. I know piaggio's run 10-15% smaller jets, so I guess your in the right ballpark.
