bodywork alone is worth the £40. i'd have grabbed that if it was closer....and I had enough spare time to do something with it

 

I wonder just how fooked up it is? Wheels would be trashed I'm sure, I also recon that crank is sitting in a rusty hole, no keys? No log, no v5, is it nicked? Could be a 40 bargain though, strip what left and sell it in bits

 

No log book always rings alarm bells.
There's no reason you wouldn't have it other than because it's nicked

 

Yeah it's a bit of a gamble, there are ways of checking if your really not sure, vin number, rego plate, I think if i doubt, leave it alone
