What do you think, should I buy this old Formula 50 and start a new prosject? I have a sorry looking Dragster standing in the basement as well.(Which is screaming for work) As I love the Italjet scooters, I think I will buy this one as well. I hope to get it for £100, which is dead cheap here in Norway. Broken seat lock
Re: Italjet formula 50 prosject? nope... they use a dirt ac engine.. think its an ac morini engine, could be anything tho.. id honestly fit ether a minereli or piagio engine. seat lock is gonna be a pain but yes with a bit of love it will be a nice, rare bike cant complain at the price afterall...
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? looks verry good for the cash if you need any parts just ask me my mate has broken a 125 one
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? formula!!! I WANT IT!. buy it yeah, then ship it over to me yeah, then start the sorry drag project :good:
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? I personally wouldn't go near it. Can't get parts for them and bits wear out easily. Plus the engines shit.
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? whats it like for parts in norway as it seems to be difficult over here for formula parts spec the twin 125
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? hmm the parts bit would be a issue. id like to have one tho. kinda fiending for a dragster too. (im turning Italian and buying on impulse and looks!)
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? i use to love them and then went off them. i dont even think they are that nice but i want one like when your drunk and find ugly girls attractive
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? In Norway it's impossible to optain parts. Thats why God has given us the internet. I know the engin is a Morini lump, but I just want this Formula for its design. You can't find a better looking scooter today, and you can get plenty of parts for the engin, it's just the plastic and suspension parts that could be hard to get. On this Formula both shocks are faulty, so I will have to buy new ones as the first step. Then I will need a seat from Ebay or something. I will have a look at the plastic, and try to fix this my self. Than maybe it's ready for some new paint and stickers All pictures was taken in 2005, when I first saw the scooter. It has ben stored in a garage sinse. Lets hope it's stil look the same today.
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? I think you may buy it anyway john may as well add another 1 to your sig ehh
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? The Runner is in daily use, but I struggle to get the carb setup right. It's no good in the first 1/8 of trottle, rest is ok. I will try some slow jet changes later.
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? I did agree with the seller today, so now I will have my brother picking up the Formula for me. It's 60 miles from where I live, and my brother lives in that area. Updates will follow, but it can take some time.
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? I'm probaly wrong but i swear the rear caliper is bolted to a front speedo drive thats been stuck on there??
Re: Italjet formula 50 project? Well guys. Now I have found this Formula LC. If I'm lucky I will get this one for £200. This one is technical ok, compare to the other one. I keep you posted
