Hi all, Ive just bought an Italjet Dragster D50LC off Ebay for next to nothing and im rebuilding it from the ground up, Its getting fully Tuned with every highend part going and will be just over 90cc when its finished, im in the process of modifying the case so the long stroke crank will fit along with everthing else, i will keep you all posted on the progress
im sacrificing a bit of power and machining up a twin ring piston instead of the rubbish single ring piston polini ship out! Been there already i know where you are coming from.
a single ring dont give you more power it just wastes less power 2 rings at the revs that them cylinders work at would produce extra heat and drag sapping power
Im not going to rev the grany out of it, the set up i want is good port flow and plenty of torque down low, im aiming for a power band of about 6 or 7k im going to use a Twin ring custom JE forged piston and pro seal rings,It will fit
May I ask why on earth take a high revving kit and make it crap ? When you could just buy a 172 n port that ?
technical excersise to see what i can get out of it, the flow on the polini is good low down if you tune it right. im playing with it as im an engineer, Its what i do !
im doing it for reliability with the power of a 90, im not going to make it rev too infinity, ive been there already and it gets expensive replacing bores and pistons every 3 months! do it once do it properly.

i have an italjet formula 125 twin i could put in it but the cranks are shite! go quite well tho i got 13bhp on the dyno, thats around the limit on the crank tho tbh
