the one circled. I opened it with the engine off and the air bubble in the 2 stroke line went out of it, is this all i have to do to bleed the pump?
yep, run a tank of premix through it (this clears the bubbles from the thin pipe running from the pump to the carb)
no, the thick one (that emptied when you uindid the screw) is from the oil tank to the pump... the thin one go's from the pump to the carb, this is where the pump "pumps" the oil into the engine.... (its obviously taken in by the air and fuel mix drawn through the carb,m wich splits it into a fine mist just like the fuel, wich covers everything) so ye, premix a litre or two of fuel through it and it will fill the pipe (if the pumps working of course) then you just fill your oil and petrol tanks sepperatly
ah i see, makes much more sense, do i run it like that with the screw opened or closed? maybe im imagining it but i always thought that pipe was dry and the oil was injected into the crank directly or somthing but your explanation makes much more sense lol
no tighten the screw, you only bleed out from the oil tank t the pump (untill theres no bubbles in the bigger pipe) then just premix the oil wiht the fuel untill the small pipe is free of bubbles.
