It's been on ebay for ages that bike. Bikes are worth what people will pay for them. If you look at all the parts they have plus the base price of a bike or buying a new bike it's worth it. Engine parts alone cost around £1000. The thing is that no one ever wants to spend money on scooters as they are supposed to be cheap transport or are owned by kids with hardly any money so there is normally a cut off point that people will spend on a scooter no matter what it has on it. It was about 1,200 for a long time but has crept up to around 1,500 in recent times. For example you can buy a nice clean stock bike for very similar money to a tuned bike. Prices are totally random and also it depends on where the bike is located. You can normally get more money for a bike if it's being sold in London.
Yeah its still on ebay but i fancy a 172 and its from a "shop" so i trust it abit more than other people selling 172s on ebay because theyve blatently been ragged to fuck before they sell them.
I wouldn't say it's much different. Only thing is the shop has bought it from a random person then is selling it on. That is why the price is more than a private sale. Simple fact is pretty much every single scooter you will buy is ragged. Even if you bought a bike with 0 miles it's going to be over 7 years old so will need bits replacing. Also they are tuned 2 strokes so it's near impossible to have any sort of warranty on them. They can just blow up for no good reason. If you want to spend big money you could always buy my typhoon for £2500. Nearly everything is brand new on it and I spent a good amount more than that building it.
