I'm going to paint the back left, right and middle panels on my piaggio typhoon, after reading the guide on here I went and bought: 1) clear lacquer >400ml 1) matt black spray >400ml 1) Grey Primer >400ml 1) 1 sheet of every sandpaper reccomended Do you think this is enough or will i need more? Cheers
Usually when im respraying, ill get through 2 cans of each. And more than one sheet of sandpaper, but then i usually filler all the panels aswell. If your only keying the panels then it should be enough.
Hi bud im just in the middle of respraying my runner and i can tell you now that to do a proper job you have no where near enough stuff!! 1 sheet of paper is dreaming, as for your paint the black cover quite well usually only 2 coats but a minimum of 3 i would defo get yourself at least 2 more cans of primer and anothe can of paint should and one more lacquer!! The pic below is the paints i currently have large cans are primer or lacquer smaller cans are colour and i have thrown 2 colour cans in the bin and also a primer can and i will still need more of my chosen colour as it doesnt cover very well, car plan stuff isnt the best but it does work if you are patient and take your time!! Dont rush it!! Didnt meen to put a downer on it but in the long run it will save you a fortune! You can check out some of my paintwork in the project section under this is what £40 buys you and you can see that im not shitting you!!
