It depends on the engine. Some LC engines have a slightly different crank to an AC one, as the crank has to drive a water pump instead of a fan. Obviously you will need the water pump, pump housing, radiator and pipework as well as an LC head and temperature gauge for the clocks, so it's not a small job. Why do you want to convert your engine to liquid cooled, and what make and model of bike are we talking about?
Well I'm been looking for a diffrent bike and gonna sell my neos but I can't seem to fine one that I like apart from one that cost the earth I have a 100 neos I was thinking of buying a runner engine and making it fit Or putting some form of a large fan over the head to help cool but won't be as good as lc I want to get the noes faster alot faster I know it will never be a runner but still lol
The wiring no to much of a problem and I've herd of electric water pumps just don't know we're to get them
I suggest that you look up PC water cooling kits on a certain auction site *cough*. They use 12 volt water pumps but I'm not sure if the hoses used will be big enough for what you need.
Hmm how would I go about getting the head sorted tho I know a guy who builds custom hot rods so could get him to make a mount to fit a runner engine but would the bike be to small ??
wo wo wo - you have a neos? Unless the 100 is radically different from the 50 , all you will need is a nitro water pump and a radiator . I. have an ovetto (neos?) and it's LC. It's not rocket science. I love the ovetto (neos) engine. You can do anything you want. LC? no problem. Big bore? no problem. if you don't want yours - sell it to me.
A water-cooled head may fit the air-cooled crankcase, as they are the same up to the barrel and head. You'd need the water-cooled barrel and head, then pipe out from there to your radiator, header tank etc. as required. Your friend may also be able to drill and tap the head for a thermo switch, to feed the electric pump, so that once the engine starts to reach temperature the pump starts up. It could work a bit like an electric fan on a car radiator.
Now that sounds like a brill Idea And turbo I try pm u but it won't let me as I wanted to talk to u about your ped
