Is there a way of getting rid of this ?

Yeh, get somebody (who knows what their doing) to hone the barrel.
It doesn't look to bad apart from that one big muvvafucker. But so long as it aint too deep and its smoooth as a babys then it should be ok.
If thats ur 70 kit, i would just ever so slightly port it, i mean like a fraction cos ur genna have to have to do suttin wiv that damaged port anyway.

can you hone ali barrels, i didnt think u could because of a nicasil coating or something arc:

no you cant hone them u have so get them bored out and put a steel liner in them or u can bore it out and get it nicasil plated again but that is quite expensive

 

just buy a new barrel

 

Lol i was just wondering . i didn;t pay oat for the barrel just wanted to no if its any good to any 1 who does porting or oat.

 

its fucked, those are deep scores, you can't hone nicasil barrels and get away with it as a general rule, and even if you could, after that much honing the piston would slap around like a dying fish.

any way, how did this happen looks like a (gudjon) sp? pin clip came out

 

a bit of the piston ring snapped it was running fine tho

 

looks like excessive ring wear, the ring gap became wide enough to clip one of the boost ports and cause havoc.

also looks as if it's been run hard from cold.

 

Yeah he had it for like 8 months and never changed the rings . then the other day he said im gunna change the rings feels dead sluggish . took the barrel off and had a suprise . the pics make the barrel look worse tho aint that proper bad the piston is mangled tho.
