Is the engine with more than the bike? Typhoon 125

Very interesting response to my typhoon 2t ad - is a 125 engine truly worth more than the whole bike? Seems odd. Seems a shame to brake such a nice example. I don't really know how to proceed it. Thoughts on the best approach welcome. I hate eBay. Thanks.

 

With a bike this old, in a lot of cases it's true but yours is in very good condition, so no.

Supply and demand is a thing, but as long as people keep breaking 125 bikes for their engines, the demand for good 125 bikes will go up too!

A complete bike this old is an unusual thing. To some people that's valuable, to their neighbours it's an eyesore
