i just changed the piston and gaskets on a wee water cooled suzuki ay50 scooter and when i was tightening the head down i tightened one of the nuts to much and snaped the bolt off flush with the top of the cover.will 3 nuts be enought or is there anything i can do.or is it fucked
is it a bolt or a stud?? has it snaped flush with the cylinder top or does it go through the cylinder as well to the crankcase? i ask these questions because i don't know the layout of this motor. any snaped bolt or stud should be easy to remove but the other answer is, no you cant run the engine like that.
they are long bolts that go throught cylinder and out the top of the clyinder head from the crankcase.it has snaped off flush with the top of the cylinder head. it would be the bottom left hand one on this engine http://www.flickr.com/photos/richiesphotos/4679612061/
should come out no problem that mate, you could either order a new one or if your in a rush buy a piece of stud iron from a local engineers shop and cut it to size.
