Is it realistic to fabricate new plastic lugs on scooter panels?

    Hi

    In my completely pointless cleaning of the starter switch on the SH300 I found almost all the plastic panel lugs snaped off by some gorilla who had worked on the bike before. Is there anyway to fabricate (bodge up) some lugs to reduce the panel rattle? Also a couple of the screw posts are snapped off (of course). Why can't the lugs be manufactured slide in and out and screws hold everything in place?

    Common bodge in London,esp.amongst delivery boys - their doing some wonderful surgery on plastics with cable ties/basically tap hole through either side and strap together....seen whole mudguards bonded together after being practically sliced in 1/2.;).
