    hi,
i would like to know how much work is involved in putting a typhoon 125 or gilera runner 125 engine in a gilera runner 50 frame. The reason being my 50 engine has developed a water pump seal leak which i have been quoted £300 for lol what a joke.

so i thought instead of paying the money i might aswell get a new engine, a faster one

is there any cutting involved etc etc

    thanks

you will have to buy prittymuch an entire 125 just for the bits to convert (am i repeating all this shit again weekly or somthing?) look back through the workshop section, this has been coverd MANY MANY times

300 quid is labour, they probably wont even change the main bearings aswell...

but it should be a complete engine rebuild at that cost. 5 hours labour (at 60 an hour) for a job that takes 2 hours so somthings not right...

but ye, new bearings/waterpump kit. might aswell change the crank while your at it as its all out and you could rebuild to find the crank go's in a month.
