    Hello all
So, I have an 18 plate metropolis and up to now I have encountered the following: The boot lid randomly opens.
Also driving down the road, the bike has cut out although the electrics are initially all still there, but as I head to the side of the road, everything goes. I then switch off the ignition, turn it on again the bike starts with no further issues.
However, today it was -4 and the bike was having non of it it eventually started but the speedo was saying I was doing 120 MPH with the revs at 7k...what’s going on?

Sounds like water somewhere screwing up the system

If it's still under warranty, as it should be, take it straight back to the dealers.
Doesn't matter if you bought it "used", it should still be under manufacturers warranty.
Could be the ecu failing, not reading the key coding, battery voltage, anything really......

You switching the bike off and then on again is resetting one of the modules, I had exactly the same problem on an MP3.
