Insurance taking bike away for inspection, repairs help???

Hello people,

Had a accident on sunday, got hit on the back by a massive 4x4 and the bike is kind of fucked. Called the insurance and the other side has agreed to pay for all the damage.

Now they want to come and take the bike away for inspection on whats damaged and repair it. The bike ( Gilera Runner 50 ) is derestricted and it has a gienelli pipe on will the insurance say anything??

They are also bringing me a new helmet too and a curtesy bike.

did you declare the modifications when you insured the scooter? If not then they may refuse to pay out at all.

 

thats why you take off all the mods or bolt on parts

 

When they take it and say oww there are mods on cant i just act dum and stupid and say thats how it came i didnt know they where modifications i was told that was a replacement exhaust ???

bearing in mind ross (biggie) just got payed out for his sr 50 which had a 125 engine in and a kundo when the insurance company took it away

i doubt youll get any trouble mate
