Just spent a few hours on compare the market to get an idea how much my insurance might be..I was honest and declared the giannelli expansion pipe..I'm 60 so thought it would be cheap..couldn't select from the drop down box the padlocks and chains I'm putting on it and the 2 trackers so I rang them (swintons).the online quote was £110 and a few shillings Tpft..the bird on the phone took my tracker model numbers and chain/padlock details and amended the quote..£630..I inquired why the extra price and she said the company that they use didn't like modifications..I told her they accepted it on the online quote but she wasn't having it..I told her to stick it..literally.i then did another try on the swintons site without the pipe declaration and there was a £5 difference ..bike sure are giving me similar quote for the expansion pipe declaration Tpft..havnt phoned them yet..bloody nerve of some people.
Mmmm.too honest me..can't see it's gonna make any difference in speed and power having the bloody thing buzzing away to be honest.may as well just get a quiet standard looking pipe with a bit of a possible power boost and put up with running about at normal speeds and not attract attention. Then my tpft quote could be £110_115 and not have plod giving it large cos of a loud pipe..I look too odd on a moped..I'm 21 st now and a beard like zz top guitarist..I'm trying to blend in..lol..I need a full face helmet so I don't scare pit bulls..
Then saying about exhausts is "an after market" pipe due the original rusting away and the original was SO expensive to buy" I pay £150 fully comp for 3 scooters and I'm 55 .
