rite folks need your opinions on this insurance quotes for the aprilia ~ aprilia sr125, 7years old, 8000ish miles on clock, has cost me £450 so far *1st quote* bike valued at £999, tpf+t, compulsary excess £500, quote = £393 *second quote* bike valued at £1999, tpf+t, compulsary excess £500 quote = £434 *third quote* bike valued at £1999, fully comp, compulsary excess £350 quote = £578 so is it worth paying that £140 to be able to slide the bike down the road in the rain, let them rite it off and get £1070 in my pocket if i do? dont fink im gonna go with the first as for £40 more bikes value is £1000 more any peeps let me no what u lot would do cheers ste
they dont go by what value you put down they do it by the book price which will be about £700
if your'e lucky, be more like £300 payout for a tidy one, just go TPFT. that way you can keep the bike if you do slide it on the shiny side.
hmmm so no matter how much i would put the bikes value down as they would still pay out peanuts? rite you just saved me nearly £200, cheers lads
you need to ask if its agree'd valuation when you buy the insurance. if it is what you insure it for is what you get by law
My mrs who works for bennetts insurance also said it dosent matter what the bikes valued at...youll only get book value back (normally). it is possible to get agreed value but this is usually on a custom or classic policy. if anything go for the quote with the lowest excess as of course this comes out of your pay out
not really worth getting tpft, on a 450 pound bike, with an excess of 500 pounds. especially after these lot are saying you will only get book price if u claim.
rite well then if chances are its only going to be book price. your right jack there is no point getin tpf+t. could end up outa pocket if i was to hit some one. might have to be the old TPO then :msn1:
you mean TPO lol but anyways.... my mate just bought an sr the same as yours for 500 odd quid, he got an insurance quote for 282 pounds for tpft, and 182 pounds for tpo. both with a 500 pound excess. :msn1: obvious what he went for
so why did joe not get tpft? :wtf: he said to me there is no point getting tpft because if he claimed, the excess was too high, and not worth it because his bike was worth the same amount. :wtf:  i thought that was the whole reason for just getting tpo.
still. what im saying is there was no point in tpft because of the excess. your just confusing everything man, shut up :bird: :w00t:
