Don't live in a city, rode a 50cc before, now wanting a 125 so tried getting quotes, couldn't get quotes under £1000 no matter what. Is this how it is these days? Silly money for a 125, can these prices be lowered.

15 years ncb, same insurer (Bennetts) wanted £185 renewal. Got it £110 cheaper with Swinton Insurance.

I expect it's the high theft/accident rate in the cities. Your age obviously will come into it of course especially if you are a new rider.
Probably why you see a lot of scooters being sold with the words "registered as a 50 or 125" lol Not that I would condone such a thing.

I hate insurance its such a con. You pay and pay and pay, then something happens and you try and claim and they snake their way out. And then you pay more...
    Fucking bullshit.

It is these days. I have found third party and third party f&t is actually more expensive than comprehensive??
They also put extra excess on so you find that(with a cheaper bike) basically you get nothing.
