Hi, Yes you can however most companies usually ask that one of your parents act as a guarantor on the policy so should you fail to pay they would have to pay. I would avoid paying monthly at your age and see if you can pay the full amount for the year as if you fail to pay the policy it could affect your credit rating in the future.
