Okay so i've decided to make a thread for people who want to install new Cylinders on there scoots.Just some Tips i gathered from searching in the forum;] Research dont go out buying Cylinders you dont know because your friends tell you too, exept if they have tested them. If you dont have any clue on howto install cylinders then dont try to install them your self because you will probably damage them or install them wrong which will eventually cause problems.(Make sure your exhaust is properly installed on to the cylinders, make sure there are no leaks on your exhaust or any small holes. To do this just place your hand on the end of the exhaust and see if the engine shuts down.) After the cylinders are installed i would suggest taking it easy on the bike for the first 200-300 k/ms.Not at full throttle just a few seconds each time,on steep rounds i suggest you accelerate and dont let the scoot run at a steady speed because this puts more pressure on the piston as there is less power.Throttle but again dont exceed 60 k/m.Also when ever you get the change switch the engine off and let it cool down, every 10-15 k/m of non stop driving.(Am telling you this from personal experience,i did this on my old bike (Speedfight 2,Full 70cc) went everywhere with top speed full throttle,Never had a single problem,Cylinders still run perfectly. So if you want a longer lasting Scoot i suggest at least taking it easy on the first 200k/ms. This is just my some of the things a found in this forum and from my experience with my old scoot. If someone disagrees with me please tell me so.;p I would also like it if users with more experience tell me their thoughts so we can have as much info about this topic as possible.
I agree with what you say, i wish more of the british lads would have the common sense to read round and learn from others. all i can say is, if you are fitting one yourself, check your ring end-gaps, use plenty of oil and torque your head down gently (nothing worse than a warped head)
