turbovetto likes the MVT one.think pedparts did a test for hp improvement and used a S6 INNER as an example.have a shoofty on their blogs..really informative.

Hi. You have two choices with these kind of ignitions if you want lights. The Polini or the MVT.
I have the Polini. It no longer works. Everyone I know who has gone for this ignition has come a cropper. avoid it. If anyone with a minarelli horizontal engine wants some Polini rotors/ stators/ stator plates/ spacer discs for that piece of shit, mail me. I have quite a lot of spares. But do yourself a favour and throw it all in the bin.
The stage 6 is in fact a re-badged PVL, which is probably the best ignition going, but no 12 v output. No lights.
I also have the Malossi. I love it! But it has no 12 v output.
So that leaves us with the MVT. There are a whole bunch of things I like about this ignition. I have two up and running right now on my scoot(3 years now?) and one on my girlfriend's scoot.
Everything, from the design, performance and finish is top class. And above all, it's reliable!
Fuck Polini and their shite and get MVT. I have spoken to them on the phone twice, once for each time I put one of their ignitions on a scoot (the minarelli before 2003 and after 2003 are not electrically the same) and every time they were brilliant! They also put foolproof installation tutorials on their website. Try getting someone on the phone at Polini when you need help. Which you will, because their instructions are written by italians......
    What more can you say.
And performance? To quote my gf- ´I love traffic lights now!'.
    Nuff said.
