well if you havent done anything else to your bike, higher performance reeds, air filter etc. it should be fine how it is.

As said... Really you want to get the usual easy mods out the way first were you'll see performance gains... Such as... Exhaust, rollers, clutch springs, rollers, reeds n reedblock and maybe an airfilter if you desire to put one on.

Maybe a slight upjet is needed, 1-3 sizes larger than your current should be ok.

Bigger inlet manifold = more air/fuel to pass through into the engine. So upjetting slightly seems like a good idea.

your inlet can be a million times bigger than stock. its still the same carb/reeds.. if anything, increaased flow (better parts matching from an open reedblock) will warrent a DOWN jet if anything.. the inlet length hasent changed tho so it wont need an upjet nor any different reeds..

im assuming this has the runner inlet wiht the half penny size hole in it... deffo ditchworthy if it is..by far the first thing to change on these bikes if its installed...

ive been told there is no need to change the carb, they are designed to run derestricted so they just put a tiny diameter opening on the manifold (so im told) if thats true, then upjet ?

no, the inlet is part of the restriction as its over power (exceeds the law on 50cc power/speed) restrictred with a normal manifold.. it has the tiny hole to further kill off power. a most you want a 56 jet in a stock bike derestricted (53 stock usually) your NOT upjetting because youve changed the inlet.. its due to the increased gearing from derestricting the transmission and the better performing exhaust (once/if you remove the resonator tube) rarely done correctly (exhaust) wich is the part that affects fueling the most.
