indicators dim/ can't see all other lights work fine.

Today my indicators stopped working they light up put are so dim you cant see them also the light on the dash is really dim and you can barley see it. all the other lights work.
Any ideas?

 

Could be the generator, could be the battery, does it start ok?, main headlight ok? Electric start ok?

 

I found out it isn't the switch, by putting a paper clip in the connector. Also I realized that they turn on when the engine is started but don't flash. So I think there is a problem with the flasher unit thing. I read that on other piaggios like the Vespa they are on the back right hand side but isn't on mine. And someone said it could be inbuilt to the metal box with fins on it, that is in the front panel so I am stumped. Would a broken flasher thing be causing this problem.

 

Yeah it could be the flasher relay, it's a small round or small box looking thing, has 3 or 4 wires connected to it, not sure where it located on your scooter, normally about 5-10 quid to replace, halfords will sell them.

They can stay on and not flash aswell. Well that's where I'd be looking, if its not that, bring forth the mission mallet, cos it will be...
