    Hey SS crew,

i need more front end braking, end of... I have put new pads in, changed the fluid etc and the braking is ok but i feel that its not all it should be and i have little confidence in it. :beg:

I want to know if there is a simple way to get better braking from the front end, be it a decent wavy disc and pad combo, or is there a bigger brake conversion available. Or can i fit forks and front wheel from a Zip 100 or similar to get some decent stopping power?

    All help gratefully received...

    Ta

Did you just put standard pads in?

Does it have the stock brake hose on it?

no i put in EBC 'sport' pads, but yes it does have the standard hose. The brakes just feel like i need to write them a letter to tell them that im going to use them... The front lever feels ok, and the back, well it feels like it is, a cable.

I ride quite enthusiastically and am tipping the scales at 16st so effective braking is quite important...

    Thanks for the reply...

I would try changing the hose for a braided one for starters. Standard hoses expand under pressure so give a sort of soggy feel.

I replaced my hoses 2 weeks ago with goodrige lines. I bled them then applied the front brake just wheeling the bike around and I nearly dropped the bike with surprise. They are so urgent now. Just straight on

use a wavey runner rear disk an caliper... it just about fits and absoloutly transforms the front brake... check out abs zip project for pics :)
