i am thinking about selling my SR because there are not many tuning parts for it , and purchasing a a yamaha BW or yamaha neos or something similar for around £100, and spend the money from the SR on tuning the engine, what does everyone else think? becuse my bike is quite slow and want to be able to buy new carbs, 70 kit, clutch bells etc....

bws n neos r vertical motors mate, so not much in the way of tuning there either, go minarelli horizontal or anything piggy mate, aerox, runner, typh, nrg, jogrr, ice, stalker etc

Well depends entirely on what level of tuning he wants really doesn't it? If he wants a race setup then yeah could do better on an Aerox, but a sport or mid race setup is fully achievable on the BWS, and they have lightweight on their side :D

Ohh and don't get a 100 quid one, it'll be a nail, a ringer or both. You pay for what you get though so your choice ;) 9theres a nice bws on ebay identical to mine at the moment by the way

ohh check out the gilera Stalker in the for sale section too might fit the bill

^^ Obviously put off ped's cause he started with an SR50, shaaaaaame :p

trust me geared 50's make you look like a right cock as you're there flicking your wrist and feet like a schitzophrenic duck, who's addicted to wanking

    not a cpi mate.

terrible bikes, soo unreliable. the SMs r uncomfortable as fuck and the novelty will wear out after about a week and you WILL hate it.

yeh they do TZR 50's , if i sell my bike and cant find one quick then im going to buy this neos near me thats going cheap i think, around £100 and spend the rest on engine mods, so im looking at getting stage 6 pro cylinder, 17mm carb, stage 6 pro exhaust, stage 6 drive face etc. as ill have around £400 to spend on the engine :pimp:

with 400 bar your gna get:
    sport cylinder - 100
    pipe - 120
    carb - 70
variator, belt, rollers and jets - around 100

rough estimates but just make sure you save bout 50 - 70 for belts, rollers, jets etc.

In my honest opinion you should either get one of three bikes, a Piggy Typhoon, a Gilera Skp/Stalker or an MBK Booster. The latter won't tune as well however, unless you plan on spending more time fixing than riding the bike, it will do nicely. The first two are more tuneable but the Piggy imo looks old while the Gilera is a bit heavier than the others, although it probably is the best overall.

ALL will be better than a Ditec SR50 (which have i mentioned i hate :p)

He mentioned that he wanted a wheelie machine, so i'm guessing that translates into light, and what wouldn't i be able to describe an SR50 as i wonder :p

And if you fall doing a wheely on a yamaha, at least they aren't half arsed ripoff merchants to deal with at dealers. (and i have experience of that)

    mines lighter.

just take out every lil bit of crap you dont need lool
besides you pull the throttle back and the front wheel comes up with no effort atall lol

    favourite thing about autos!!

SR50 ditecs aren't tunable, even less so than my vertical minerelli. And my mate has a piggy engined one with a sport pipe (Techno wtf???) and i could race that stop have a cup of tea and start off home before that has caught up with me i'm sure...slow as foooooook and heavy still. Basically get a Gilera Stalker cause they're piggy engined, light and if nakedified are sweet as...
