Not exaggerating when I say that I've clocked it at 62mph when letting it rip on a long straight road at 3am. Pretty pleased with it, when my previous Aerox struggled to do even 40. (But with that the only upgrade was an exhaust and de-restriction). However the RPM counter never goes over 5k, is this an issue or something?

    • I've changed the rollers, 5.5g
    • Tighter clutch springs
    • De-restricted (of course)
    • Yasuni R exhaust (de-restricted)
    • Replaced most of the lights with LEDs with an upgraded regulator unit (except headlights - for some reason they just won't work, and die after a few minutes of being turned on - any advice on why?)
    • The main jet changed to.. I forget now and can't find my jet box, maybe 78.. or 68. Changed it anyway. Doesn't feel like it runs too rich or otherwise. Tried going up one and donw one and felt 'off', so what it's at now (whatever that is, can't remember) seems fine.
    • Shock changed to FORZA gas shock.
    • Replaced both brake disks and pads.
    • Added the rear footrest hangars+new pegs (I like the look better).
    • Ugly L plates mounted in positions that to try and make them less ugly.
    • Kickstarter changed to CNC kickstarter.
    • Sidestand added, center stand removed.
    • Stage6 air filter in the stock air filter box.
    • Replaced both brake master cylinders with new ones + levers, old ones were beat up and leaking fluid.
    • Sprayed the seat with vinyl spray because it had turned grey over time, looks nice and new now.
    • Used the vinyl spray on the black panels above the engine to cover up scratches etc.
    • Replaced battery with a brand new one, old one was shit and never started properly with electric starter, works good now. Thinking of getting a Li-Po one. (?)
    • Mounted the tax disc in a better spot.
    • Replaced worn driver belt with a polini 'kevlar' one.
    • Plugged the obsolete secondary air intake from the stock exhaust.
    • Replaced most of the fuel and water tubing.
    • Bullet valve caps, because I can. (Someone stole the first set. fucking scallies)
    • Replaced the deteriorated bearing seales and dust covers.
    • Replaced a ton of rusty screws and screw clips allover the bike. (perfectionist).
I'm planning on getting a new leadlight assembly, as the current one is damaged (looks like it was in a crash or somthing before I bought it).

Most things inspired from seeing this guys DNA here.

    Already planned:
    • Headlight assembly replacement
    • Replacement footrest hangars + pegs
    • Bar ends
    • Replace rusted horn with a new black one
When I was messing with the clock unit, I put pressure on the LCD and caused some black leakage.. luckily it didn't obscure anything, but that really annoys me and I haven't been able to find a proper replacement on eBay for it, are there any non-DNA clocks that would fit in the same mounting points I could look at?

What really bugs me is this:

It's happening to the wheels too - what's the best way to go about getting this fixed? Would a shop be able to dissassemble them and paint them, or would I have to do that myself and send the parts somewhere to have that done?

Should I do anything like get a 70cc kit, or upgrade any other parts like the vatiator, clutch, air filter?

    Suggestions welcome!

If it goes like that, I'd leave it be ! Do you know what cylinder is on it ? Because 60 on the flat is pretty fast for a stock barrel -

This makes me miss my dna50 and dna125 I had when I was younger. I just wish I knew then what I know now as I could have made it run much better and much quicker :(

Otherwise you can have those tatty yellow bits off there - some paint stripper and sand paper - and a weeks' work later - a polished chrome-like finish......

And a stage 6 sport pro, Yasuni carrera 16 with a DO 21 carb should give you about 80 mph.....
Wait a minute - is that an 'R' or a 16 I see on there ? Cos the Sport pro works pretty darn good with an 'R' as well -

I'd take it a bit down the 'Café Racer' look, with some 'clip-on' style racing handlebars. Change the bars and the clocks for some Koso digital ones, maybe a darker paint job instead of white and I'd be happy to ride that.

Thanks guys, haven't rode for like 2 years but getting back into it now and going to be doing more work on it. I replaced the front headlight unit with new OEM parts I got from easyparts.nl (damn expensive for some bits of plastic fairing, but oh well, at least they have screw mounts now so it fits together properly).

I quite like the white, got a white helmet too, helps with visibility I think (was broadsided a few years ago on my old Aerox, got a rod in my leg now).

The cylinder is the stock 50, so yeah I'm pretty pleased that I can get it to 62mph with what I've done, I'm looking to fit a 70cc kit, which should I get to go with my Yasuni R exhaust? Do I need to upgrade the carb / crankshaft /piston kit or anything like that when I do this? How about the air filter, will the stock be fine?

Will an aftermarket variator be something I should get too?

Was looking at this for the 70cc kit:

Edit: Oh, the vinyl spray on the seat turned to crap so I ended up taking the whole cover off and buying a replacement one, didn't fit *exactly* but once I strapped it down with a staple gun it fits nicely and looks great, I'll post some pics tomorrow.
