Only a few will remember me but I'm back and the Slider is near roadworthy. (Third bike after two SpeedFights) Not long before work begins on the details. Heres what it looked like when I first bought it: What the pictures don't show is that the bike has been subject to neglect from 5 different owners since new in 2000 (Yes thats right, its an X-reg). Most panels were broken, half the bolts were missing and the forks were rusting. :wtf: I've already bought another Slider for spare parts and due to the electrics not working properly, the wiring loom is now being ripped out and replaced.
instead of buying a new loom why not just unravel the old tape, then replace the tape as you go along until you find the dodgy wires that are causing issues? my first jog, it was a red wire in the loom burned out down near the knee panel, aerox it was some red wires going to the regulator rectifier behind front panel :nerd: saves £20-30 for a new loom neways
