    Could anyone give me advice???
I'm building a Yamaha aerox 2004 engine up, Basically just got the crank casing and looking to build a monster, I'm looking to get the stage 6 hpc crank, The stage 6 racing 70's and I have the pro replica, I've been told I need to adjust the ignition timing, But how and what do I do? And what make is the best for that part? Also will I need to make the exhaust ports bigger or anything or should it be fine and just all that needs doing is the carb and ignition mainly? Thank you for all your help, really appreciated

Beyond the flywheel the rotor and ignition needs to be set up correctly to control the spark on the spark plug fastened or slowed down

Best way is to elongate the two mounting holes on the ignition pickup that reads the magnet on the flywheel. By sliding it round anticlockwise it will pick up the signal from the flywheel magnet earlier on and therefore spark earlier.

File or Dremel the holes 2mm to the right, allowing you to move the pickup to the left.

wouldnt the ignition timing controlled by the cdi??? if so get a aftermarket cdi where you can advance and retard the timing.

The signal is sent from the pickup to the CDI. So by modding the pickup, you will have the same ignition curve shape, but more advanced.

I did it on a mates 125, throttle response was much better and slightly more power, V Power will the best fuel to use as it is higher octane.

whatevers easiest for you i suppose, i got a athena cdi on the SFX with adjustable rev limit and timing but it depends on your budget as well.
