Ignition -HPI inner rotor 2010

Don't forget, you won't get any lights or charging with it. What setup is it for?

 

Oh great! What do you mean i won't get any lights or charging?..Ah f sake.. Its for a 172 typhoon mate.. was hoping to just basically swap it around with my standard one thinking it will be alright but sounds like this is going to cause me hasstle.. think ill have to send it back or something =-/

 

Almost all inner rotor come without a AC light coil, so you won't have any headlight's, and your battery will go flat powering the brake light and indi's etc. as it won't be charged. It's pretty much a waste of money for anything but a highly tuned sprint bike.

Your headlight's won't work without some serious bodging, period. I suppose the brake light's and indi's could be replaced with LED's to make the battery last a little longer. Another thing, your clock's may or may not work, I can't say for sure.

 

Damn :/ I might have to get another battery in the scooter and have a circuit for the lights maybe? Urgh i don't know what to do now. I just sent an email for a refund as it didn't say on the description that using this product will not let you use your lights or charge battery.. Big Big Sigh!

 

Right well, i've just ordered another whole ignition system. standard one for a typhoon 125.. When the new one comes.. if i can think of a way round it by putting on the hpi and having a my lights and battery being cahrged then ill stick with the hpi if not. Then the HPI one is up for sale! just cost me 288 quid INC post and package. Will happily sell it for 220 INC post and package! Thanks.

 

There is no way round it. Also, there probably isn't provision for attaching a fan to it.

 

Think I might ring up about it as I have really messed this one up good and proper. I've candles the standard one just won't let me with the hpi one..when I recieve it ill send it back so if I bought a new runner stator and a cdi will they fit the typh without any hassle? Thanks terro & ishigam

 

Oh & Terro I sent fire a message about that mallosi exhaust you and him have for sale, when will he get back in touch? Just think a mallosi exhaust will give me a nice improovment as I have a standard one :]

Will it matter if i get and ignition set from a liquid cooled runner?
