ok everyone, heres one for you, a mate of mine has a gilera SMT (first problem, i know) just recently it won't run properly, so i posted him my spare Senda cdi (the senda and the gilera are the same), so he fitted it and the same thing happened, anyway, today i decided to make the journey (65 miles on the area51) to sort the bike out, got there, whacked a new plug in, struck her up second kick. after a minute or so of idling and light revs the ignition appeared to just cut, then click back in and the engine would restart, i have done a basic wiring check to make sure nothing is earthing on the frame and tried a different HT capand even di s-connected the ignition switch to isolate that possibility. the only think i can think it is, is the pulse coil on the stator, and me, being me, forgot to take the flywheel puller. if anyone could sugest any other things it may be i would be interested. oh and the stator smells of burnt hair! can we pleasenot have d i s as this in the censored words? :eh:
