    pretty simple quick question..

when i set off after idle on my benelli 491... theres a little pause when i put the throttle on before it sets off... which screw should i turn to sort this pause out?

    Thanks!

You mean when you rev it, it takes a couple of seconds to start moving?

yeah, its either one of these screws or the rollers are a bit too heavy

I got the same problem.. ive tried turning the Tick over screw in a bit but no luck just a bit louder, or i have to turn it up alot more.

    EDIT

From what i've read the tick over screw is only for the initial take off and only effects the first 1/8 of the throttle

So try turning your tick over screw all the way in don't force it and then turn it back out 1 1/2 turns and try that ;)

I got this from a scooter magazine ;)

Its the small screw that adjusts the idle mixture...

And the large screw which adjusts the height of the slide...

if the part throttle is rough... i hold the throttle at the exact point when it stutters and adjust the idle mixtiure screw until it smooths out!!!

you probably wont get it exactly right on the 1st attempt but go for a ride and try it again...as sometimes you need to ride it hard to clean the plug up
but after a couple of adjustments you should get it running better!!

if not then a different pilot jet will be needed...its about experimenting and testing...And learning along the way!!

different people call them by different names...

The idle mix screw adjusts the amount of fuel through the pilot jet on idle,
    and up to 1/4 throttle!!

The larger screw/knob/Adjuster...call it what you like lifts the slide up and down...like opening the throttle/hence more air enters engine!!
