so i'm now running a 22mm carb on my 70cc aerox, when i get to traffic lights my bike will drop to a high rev idle speed, and then after a while slowly drop down to a lower idle speed, i want the bike to be running at the lower idle speed, but i guess if i turn the idle screw down anymore it will lower the idle speed that it eventually drops to, could this be due to the air screw setting ? if so do i need to tighten ot loosen the screw.. so basically how can i get the bike to drop too the lower idle speed rather than dropping to the higher idle speed and then dropping again ??? thanks.
If your adjusting the Idle mix with no effect, then you need to adjust the air-mix too. Once you have the air & idle mix set correctly the bike should tick over nicely. If you adjust the idle mix and its still ticking over too fast, you should richen the air mix to bring the rpms down.. Works for me anyway lol
i turnt the idle down half a turn and air screw up half a turn seemed to do it a little good, but still doing it , and it can't be the auto choke if both of ours is doing the same thing as i dont have auto choke
My gilera runner new shape does exactly the same thing when I stop it sticks @ 5000revs then SLOWLY drops to it's norm

I would be changing to a weaker contrast/torque spring. It sets how long and how high you stay up in the revs before dropping down to idle. Good if you have plenty of power up in the revs and you don't want it dropping out say mid corner or something but bad if you have too strong of a spring which would explain what you are experiencing. The idle speed should be set when the bike is nice and warm and when it's on the stand. The wheel should just be going round.
mind you it wasnt a very *strong* torque spring i remember correctly the pack came with a 8%, 15% and a 30% i put the 15% in, ill try the 8 and see if it changes. thanks
