In the begining, battered and bruised at a local garage.. Picked it up for £40 Some time later it ended up like this but was'nt too sure on the colour scheme. Then it got stripped and re-painted - added a pm52, 28mm carb and a few more bit's Then the engine mount snapped, (too many wheelies i think) so i stripped it again and welded up a new engine mount, got the seat re-covered and added aprilia sr front forks and 13in wheel and a wavy disc. Took it off the road i decided to do some more work on it which is where i am today.. Got some new bit's to fit... pm 55mm crank 28mm flatslide carb etc... Had a go at flowing the cases Bit of paint and start to re-build thus so far.....
looking good am doing a similar paint scheme i think, with orange frame and black plastics, am considering white though
Looks like an absolute beast! Must admit I used to really hate these things, but after seeing what people are doing with them they can really be made to look smart! I'll be checking on this.
need some help with the ports as most if not all port maps on the internet have been done by retards who can't even use a pencil.... i had some mild work done by shiny, this was done as a great favour. since then ive gone to a 55mm crank and need to make some sense out of the porting process. as you all know the trade secrets of this are not easily come by and i'm struggling to get to grips with the know how, i have spent the last 3-4 weeks reading up on the subject and have some idea now on the process. :banghead:
hmm, if you need to be told where to ajust for the 55 then im pritty damn confident you dont have the skill to do the work, its intricate and the transfers are a pain to work on, even with the right tools. turn the crank to bdc, the piston should line up with the botom of the ports, they will be around 3mm too high. the timings themselves are adversly affected. a "road" port on a 52 stroke bedcomes a mental port on a 55 stroke, your cheating duration out of the engine anyway by doing a long stroke
