Hi I sold my runner 70's it was running fine when I had it.. the guy bought it picked it up from me and South london and drove it an hours drive to his home in north london.. oil light came on so he put oil in it he then took it to college the next day 25 minutes away from his home.. he then drove it home and it seizes.. Hes now saying he wants his money back etc.. but it's not my fault A 50 is meant to be going 30 not a 70's going 75.. but yeah What shall I do say?
just say that it was perfectly fine when you had it, and that he is obviously not a very good rider, to allow it to seize (there are signs of a seize). i really would tell him to fuck off if i were you, or tell him that i have a 70cc bore kit for sale At the end of the day its not your bike anymore and so is his responsibility, his problem, not urs mate! :rtfm:
You have the money. He has the bike. Youve sent off the logbook. You no longer legally have anything to do with him or the bike, its his problem.
the bike was sold with no guarantee therefore he can go fuck himself, it was probably the way he was riding it.
exactly say it was sold as seen, there fore its him that chose to buy it as seen and u dont need to do owt now. and if he thretens you or anything call the cops lol
init dodgy fuckers... thats why if i sold a bike i would sell it from my gfs house cause so many thives will go there and rob it... if they looked dodgy i woudnt let them test ride it unless i had full amount of money in my hand, but yeh say he checked it over and it was running fine and if it was goin to fuck up it would have done it when he went around the corner...im confused was it a 70 or 50? if i sold a 70 or 172 i wud say remember its been tuned up so warm it up in the morning and i woudnt recomened you hold it full wack for ages.. the thing is with selling a bike the fuckers know where u live :msn1: (unless you sell if at your gfs house like what i would do)
so you would let your girl take the brunt because your scared of some chavs coming to nick your bike :wtf:
well on my dvla form it has the previous owners address so i dunno how selling it at ur gf's would help
what 70 kit did you have on the Runner...and what oil did he put in it??? He might of used some nasty cheapo oil only fit for lawnmowers
how does she take the brunt... some people go to view the bike... see how good it is then rob in some day later.... (it happened to bEn) so if they go to my gfs house... they think i live there.... but i dont see they aint gona cum back and get the bike are they....
Bit late now, but I always write "sold as seen and without guarantee" on the receipt for his money. If I sell through ebay I put that on there as well. This proves that he now owns the rusting shitpile I just sold him :w00t:
Skatergod you are a funny guy. Come out with some ridiculous stuff sometimes. When you sell the bike they get your address on the new v5 as someone's already stated. Anyway. As someone has stated you need to mention sold as seen when you sell a used item. Might put people off but end of the day its a private sale and you dont know what they have done to the bike since in their possession. Atleast when they come to view the bike to buy it they have the opportunity to check it out fully and decide wether to purchase or not. Tell the guy it was fine when you had it. He even inspected it and had the chance to do so or any checks. Since the v5 has been posted off and money has been exchanged its out of your hands. It might be that the guys innocent and your bike was on the way out, but thats the risk you take when buying used. If thats the case.. what goes around comes around.
concept lol i know they get it when u SELL the bike... but some people dont go there to buy it.... they go to check it out and see where it is so they can rob it later that night or whenever... if they buy the bikes thats cool u have the money lol they wont be a bike at your house to rob... cause they have it
