So yesterday, I was casually driving along on my scooter, next thing I know I'm hurtling across a car, got knocked clean out and woke up wedged between the car wheels and my scooter :/ Some woman pulled out on me at a junction! After an hour of being on the floor, wedged stuck, I got airlifted from the accident and let out of hospital almost ten hours later, thankfully with no too serious injuries. Here's a few photos, one of my scooter and two I found on twitter of the helicopter taking me away :/ Massive thanks goes out to Alex for speeding to LGI to make sure I was okay though!! Not sure if I'll be hitting two wheels again, it's been a reality check, someones gotta be watching over me.. time will tell though. Scooters not looking too good, the frames all snapped, wheel doesn't move, forks fucked apparently, key is jammed in the ignition along with half of the womans car aaaaand my engines hanging off - to say it was a Chinese scoot, I'm surprised it hasn't melted away!
Don't let it get to you mate!, S..t happens an could happen again - you can't neccesarily control other peeps actions!, Don't miss out on a wonderful, fun, exciting an practical mode of transport!, Take a pointer, rest off for a while an have a think mainly from the perspective this occurance were'nt your fault, Wake up calls like this can give peeps a feeling they were doing someat wrong when they probs. were'nt,let the person who caused the accident shoulder the blame, Get back on the 2 cause after awhile you'll know it makes sense!!. .
your welcome buddy wernt about to just leave u when we had arranged to meet up but did my best to get to hospital fast as i could n thankfully no serious injuries occured
Glad you're okay buddy but don't let the daft cow put you off riding for good. When I was in hospital a couple weeks ago I broke down about twice in the 6 days I was there, not wanting to ride again but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, just got to learn from what happened and keep fighting, I'm on crutches for another 4 weeks or so, going to college with the damn things too, but I'm still gonna ride, when my new, unbent frame arrives ofc
I've never been in a Helicopter, nor flown in a plane, what's it like? All the best mate, get back in the saddle asap.
Not your fault mate. If you haven't already, you'll get a phone call from the claims people offering loads of cash. DO NOT TAKE THE FIRST OFFER!!!!!!!! You've got physio to go through, BIKE TO REPLACE, damage to your body, injuries sustained and confidence shattered. This could have/would have happened whether you were on two wheels or four. Wrong place, wrong time. Luckily, and i hope i am right in this, you have sustained no lasting injuries that will impede your long term health or lifestyle. Sit back, take stock, think about what happened, replay it in your head. That way you will see that you did nothing wrong, so you cannot let it put the fear up you. When you are ready, and only when you are ready, have a little blast on your mates on a quiet road (preferably with no side roads off it) and you'll suddenly feel that old flutter come back. Get well quick, these knitting machines need riders............
Yea, But think of the pulling power mate!, Christ - you'll do better than having an Andrex Puppy!..... .... .
Yes they do!, An having a scar in my groin, bit after they'd prised out the shards from a plastic end cap from a car bumper, Did wooonders for my s.. life!. .
@MARSH - I wasn't too keen on it myself, but then again my first ride in a helicopter was whilst I was pumped full of morphine! Cheers for the messages guys, really appreciate it! I've got some more photos I'll upload of the bike later. I've got a hire bike on the way out from Brum coming tomorrow I think.. I probably won't be using it for a long while but it's good to know it's there if I need it. I think I'll be getting a car in the next few months instead.. It'll have to be an automatic as well.. trying to use gears when you've got Tourettes is difficult ha! Will keep you informed as it goes on .
