Now I'm confused!, so's you can't have an un-restricted moped?, thought a moped is only needing to be reclassified ,as a motorcycle due to engine capacity (say 49."?cc +1-4 rebores)- and you increase it beyond that capacity an not due to power output., I think?
Regardless of engine power if a scoot exceeds speeds of 30mph in the eyes of the law its a motorcycle not a moped
has anyone actually been stopped by the police by doing over 30? or told off for having there bike de-restricted? (obviously on a cbt ect) i live in the countryside where the police know not alot about the laws on mopeds
really? i know the law in other countries are really strict, but wow must be gutted if you got caught knowing 10000+ other people dont get caught
i live in the city where the police know nothing about anything......<--- this is me and a police officer who knows nothing about anything
Experience has taught me, you can get away with alot an over time you tend to develop a bit of overconfidence/indifference tp worrying about whatever conditions you may be riding under- But there's always that one a.....e around the corner an it can be a real unpleasant moment coming out of the blue. .
this is the one I refer to, the police around here are ok, but there is always one, who gives the force bad press.
There will always be a grievance from your average joe against anyone that holds a bigger stick against you, especially if they're part of some societal institution- generally it's only in time you come to realise irregardless they are on essence a neccessary evil, It's the ones who seem to operate in some part from a personal agenda you could have the misfortune to encounter.
got caught doing 40mph on one of my visions before, police officer was more interested in the age of the scooter, it was a "routine" stop apparently.
i got 3 points a £60 fine on my ped and i live in the country side to and the cops seem well clued up on peds
