My Kymco Super 9 (5000km) is now slow to accelerate.......... but I still have the same top end, just takes longer to get there. It's not the belt (doesn't look stretched or worn), tire pressure is good, cylinder compression is fine, spark plug is new, technigas silencer is repacked, this leads me to the CVT.

I looked at my roller weights, no flat spots. I switched them from the mix of 6.5 & 7.0g weights to 6.0g all around. This made a huge improvement. It's still good to about ~30MPH then the RPM's drop and it takes forever to get up to speed. It got better with the lighter weights but a few hundred miles and it's slow again and seems to shift too early.

I ordered a stiffer torque/contra spring that should be here in a week or so. What else could it be and is it possible for this spring to weaken over time?

would def get some stiffer clutch springs matey, and lighten them rollers up!!
Get a few different sets of weights, say start the lightest at 5.0g and work your way up.
    try upjetting a tad aswell.

just read through ur post again, definitely sounds like the clutch springs!

I did install stiffer clutch springs a while back, think that could be it? It grabs hard from a stop and pulls good up until it starts to shift around 30MPH. That's when the RPM's drop from 8500 to 6000 or so, sounds like the rollers are too heavy. If they are too heavy (lighter rollers helped) then why would the setup be good for several 1000km's and then start to fail? As mentioned the set-up was good but it keeps getting worse............ even after I put in lighter weights.

This makes me think it's the contra/torque/drive spring going bad. Just wondering if this spring could fail and get weak.
