Having just joined and read a good few pages, can someone explain why an aerox 50 is faster than an aerox 100.
In my day an LC 350 was faster than an LC 250 an RD 400 faster than a 250 etc even when both are tuned bigger cubes always wins, i appreciate that some smaller so must be lighter bikes will kill the big stuff in the twisties that though is down to the chassis and brakes, but the 50/100 must be almost the same weight using the same chassis, what am i not getting....... :confused:cratch:

The 100 engine is very poorly designed :)

Really really horrible engines the 100's. You have to remember that scooters are generally work horses so engines get built for them purely for reliability and fuel economy. Not speed.

Anywho a 50cc de-restricted aerox isn't faster than a 100 aerox when they are both in standard form. Just the 100cc isn't tuneable at all and as soon as you add pretty much any part for a 50cc aerox it's quicker than a 100cc.

So it's more of a case of 'not worth' tuning the 100cc but the 50cc responds well, maybe i should pop a 50cc engine in then, as much as i should keep it standard and just nip to and from work on it, ha, that's never going to happen.....

    Thanks for the replies...:)
