I am new to the forum and need some help with an old vespa

Hello guys i have a question

So my friend showed me this old vespa, parked in his garage. Someone kept it there and asking for 150$ for it, but it’s engine is in real bad shape and we called the owner and he told me he can also sell me an aerox engine and that it fits in it. I looked up that aerox engine and turns out it is a water cooled minarelli two stroke, there are no sources online telling if it could fit or not. That is why i am here asking if it could fit so i don’t get the scooter and the engine and turn out that they don’t fit lmao. And btw i searched for parts for the original engine, but they are non existent here in morocco. Someone suggested that i somehow mount a GY6 and put a big bore kit but i do not know if a gy6 will fit in a vespa. What do you guys think ?

 

What old vespa is it? what model ?

 

He said it is a 2002 model idk what is the exact model and stuff. Im gonna go tomorrow and take pictures and stuff, but for now i really don’t know the exact model just the make year (2002)
