i am buying a yamaha aerox r 2013/2014 but want to make it faster

    i want to spend around £250-£300 on upgrades on the moped its a 50cc 2 stoke but it currently is doing 27mph and i want it to do around 50mph any suggestion on any upgrades also dont want it to sound so loud

    Take the restrictor out.

    what do you mean take the restrictor out is there just one in the exhaust also can i use the standard exhaust and take the restrictor and will that make me reach the speed of 50mph+

    what do i do when i need to go take it for a service and a mot because i would buy a sports exhaust but dont want it to sound like a lawn mover ant suggestion on exhaust also can you provide a link for the yamaha aerox r

    I have the Leo Vince sports pipe and sounds nice, more on the deep side rather than that high pitched noise

    Malaguti Phantom f12 (Italian)

    Same engine as Aerox (Minarelli Yamaha)

    so if i kept everything standard and put a leo vince tt exhaust and take the restrictor out will it make it go faster

    Yea, you will get a big increase from just removing the restrictions

    is the only restrictor in the exhaust because im going to buy a sports exhaust to use and there charge £8 to remove the restrictor

    there’s possibly a restriction ring on the variator shaft

    so if i get a sports exsaust and take the restrictor of that and the variator shaft it will be fast

    Start with the variator ring, thats free power...

    If you've got a Dremel you can save yourself £8 and remove it your self, the exhaust restrictor on a tt is just a cone spot welded in place at the manifold side
