    Well, I've been in South Korea for about 8 months now with the US Army I'm a mechanic for wheel/track vehicles and generators. and basically the only things they commute on here is scooters for city so i figured i better buy one too! So when the opportunity came around I found myself the owner of a Hyosung Prima 50cc for 100USD. It needs some work, a new rear brake lever, new front wheel bearing,new battery, and a couple things cosmetic wise.

    I'm not really familiar with these scooters but I've been doing some reading when I have time and they seem like they can be fun, I'm just having a hard time finding parts here that are worth buying performance wise. I'd like to do a 150cc engine swap but i just cant seem to find a whole engine that swaps in anywhere near directly; if anyone has any input for where to find one please lmk.I will post pictures tomorrow but in 4 months when i return home the scooter will be coming with me as a play toy.

    Its 2 stroke right?

    I see you posted up on http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=757429

    Someone there linked to another post on here where someone 70cc'd theirs;

    http://www.scootershack.co.uk/threads/hyosung-prima-over-the-top-mods.10985/

    I think thats what you should be thinking about - 70cc cylinder, sport pipe and upjet.

    Swapping in a bigger engine would be a lot of hassle and depending on which engine you choose (e.g. Yamaha Aerox 100, Peugeot 100) the performance would not be any better than 70cc'ing your current motor.

    Of course there are quicker 100cc+ engines (such as Gilera Runner etc) but judgling by your location your not going to find any of those.

    I'd send a message to the guy in that thread (^^) to see where he got his stuff from.

    Definately the easiest!

    With a 70cc kit, exhaust and carb jetted it should treble your current power.
