Just wondering if anybody else has had the same problem as me with the multivar variator by malossi?

It seems to be flat spotting rollers like nobodys business, and they are larger rollers than standard, and they cost £8 a set!

My last set were flat spotted in around 4 months!

I will upload a pic later of my last rollers to show the damage.

Im probably just going to change the variator to a different one or go back to the standard, so open to suggestions

    Thanks

Use std rollers of the same size/weight in the malossi variator.

Std rollers are shorter in length though, as i said the malosso uses 19x15.5 mm rollers, so would 16x13 or 15x12mm rollers work ok in the variator?

You make the rollers fit, file/drill them so there the weight that you need. As you know rollers are fitted one way in the variator so filing the rear side is not a problem.
