I'm looking at buying a brand new set of engine cases

I notice theres 2 sets avaliable typh non disc brake cases & cases with brake lugs ?

does coming with brake lugs automatically make them suitable for a rolling nut gearbox & side casing ?

im pretty sure its if theres a bearing for the primary input shaft on the cases its series 2 if its a solid slot its series 3(rolling nut).

    correct......

dont use old shape engines.. theres fuck all point, even if your planning on running stock wheels they make a typh wheel in 200mm drum and the cases with lugs can still be used as 200mm drum. the old shape engine (108mm drum) also has one major difference, the gearbox oil level and drain are on the side behind the wheel (2 lil 10mm nuts) rather than the dipstick and drain at the bottom on the back.

but ye. spot the imput shaft support bearing..or the oil filler. telltale of what size wheel they take. not want these cases then im guessing...
