to properly set it up you need a c.o meter ;)

its a meter with a probe you stick up the exhaust, it reads the c.o content of your emmisions, if its a cheaper meter like mine....or the more expensive ones measure hydro carbons as well...but more and more people are using a lambda style meter these days...

there will be a set c.o reading your engine should idle at to give the best performance and fuel economy...

you can of course set a carb up to run pretty good without a meter...but you asked for the correct way ;)

i would suggest you read up on setting up carbs, theres tons of stuff on the net...

theres pages of on the fly setup procedures... i dont need a co meter/dyno to setup a carb, alot of people dont use them. evne then a co meter cant be used as you ride along and even on a dyno the engine isnt under usual load (rider weight/wind resistance) this will naturally lean the jetting off anyway so its best to jet rich on a dyno/co meter.

read the manyu guides in the guides section. if yoiu cant figure it out with those you aint gonna figure it out.
