    Hey guys,

My zip 125 4 stroke seems to get hot quite quick, after a while you can defiantly tell with the heat on the back side if you know what I mean.. :)

Any ideas to run it cooler? I've heard of people drilling holes in their air filter box and stuff, but I am not going to do that lol, would a new/better filter do anything?

    Cheers.

if you drill holes in your airbox, all you'll do is cause the engine to suck in more air, therefore it will run leaner and leaner = hotter.

Just air cooled mate, the air intake pipe is under the foot panel I believe, there is another pipe which is connected to the air filter and runs up into the under seat compartment, not sure of its purpose really.

You could try a larger main jet in the carb, 4t engines run very lean to get through emission laws, it won't hurt it to go a little larger, extra fuel will help!

Try an 86 jet and see if that helps.

Accy you have an Elyseo and he has a Zip, both completely different bikes from different manufacturers.. How come you are referring to them as the same bike? Or am I missing something..
