Got a photo of the bell. I would have said buzetti universal extractor but knowing Peugeot it could well be different......
You need the threaded extractor tool. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FLYWHEEL-...43?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5403a5c27f
No hitting it with hammers either, you'll risk breaking the Woodruff key on the shaft and it's slot (or even bending the shaft) and if that happens, you'll never get it to stay on properly ever again. You have been warned.
1. Have you removed the nut in the middle of the bell (sorry, I have to ask)? 2. Have you tried screwing the outer part in left hand threaded (I think it's a left hand thread) before you screw in the bolt (right hand thread) and tighten the bolt, to force the bell off the crankshaft?
Yeah removed the nut lol and tried to screw the nut thing in to the middle tread and it just won't screw up. Just need to get this off then I crack on trie and get it started. Thanks
Try screwing it in slowly and feel for a 'step' as the thread ends click over one another. That is the exact point at which the threads should start to engage one another. They have to be at that point or nothing happens. Take your time and find the thread bite point and it should screw on.
Tried and failed been out there 2 hours trying to get to bite its does and then it just falls out and defo not a left hand thread so I don't know what to do next people must think I am thick it's my first bike project once I get it running I will strip and clean and spray it all.
Can you take a phone picture of your magneto and the new tool that you bought and post it here, just in case they sent the wrong one?
